I saw this movie when I was 12, and I gotta say, even now at 27, that whole abortion/mutilation/brain stealing alien thing from "Whispers" is still fucked up.
The sad part about this movie is that the first two stories were okay, but that last story is what stuck with us and really made us dislike the movie as a whole. And considering how Lovecraft portrays Religion, the idea of pro-life here is wrong.
Yeah, that's what did it for me as well. Funny how the last part of a movie, game, TV series or book can taint the entire experience, even if everything before it was okay.
Question: do you ever plan on looking at movies/shows that, while not direct adaptations, were inspired by Lovecraft's works? Like say the Real Ghostbusters or Billy and Mandy episodes featuring Cthulhu?
Eh honestly that's not up to me (This is RBY's series, I just took over for this particular adaption) but unless she wants to after we run out of material, not likely.
